Bulk-edit test cases

When you need to apply the same change to many test cases at once.

Steps

1. Go to Test cases.
2. Select the cases (checkbox column on the left of the tree, or Shift+Click for ranges).
3. The bulk-actions bar appears at the bottom of the tree panel.
4. Click Edit. The Bulk Edit dialog opens with three sections:
   • Fields — set Status, Priority, Automation status, or Owner across all selected cases.
   • Tags — add or remove tags. Existing tags on each case are preserved unless you choose Replace.
   • Custom fields — set any per-project custom field across all selected cases.
5. Click Apply. Each section sends a separate request; partial failures are reported per section.

Limitations

• Cannot bulk-edit Steps (steps are case-specific by nature).
• Cannot bulk-rename (names should be unique per case).
• Trash mode bulk actions are different — only Restore and Delete permanently are available there.
