Create a test case

Once your workspace and project exist, you can create your first test case.

Steps

  1. Go to Test cases in the sidebar.
  2. The view defaults to your project's tree. Click any group's + Test Case row, or hit + Test Case at the root.
  3. Type a name and press Enter — the case is saved instantly.
  4. Click the case to open the detail panel. Fill in:
    • Steps — one row per action. Enter adds a new step; Tab indents into a substep; Shift+Tab outdents.
    • Tags, Priority, Status — optional metadata.
    • Custom fields — anything your project admin has configured.
  5. Changes save automatically when you blur a field or press a structural key.

Tip — keyboard-first authoring

The steps editor is designed to keep your hands on the keyboard. From any step input, Enter continues the list, / move between steps, Backspace on an empty step deletes it, and Esc blurs the input. The hint row under the editor lists every shortcut.

TIP

Test cases are versioned via an audit log — every field change is recorded. Open the detail panel's history view to see who changed what and when.
