Test cases overview
The Test cases page is where you author, organize, and search test cases.
Layout
- Tree panel (left) — the active tree, with inline create rows on every group. A project organizes its cases either by attribute trees (group by custom-field values) or by manual folders; a per-user Flat toggle ungroups either one.
- Detail panel (right) — the selected test case, opened click-to-expand. It also hosts the case's rich-text comments at the bottom.
The split is resizable; the percentage is persisted across sessions.
Search and filters
The filter bar at the top combines:
- Free-text search across name, steps, and tags.
- Per-attribute filter chips (status, automation, priority, custom fields).
- Saved filters —
PERSONAL(visible only to you) andPROJECT(shared with project members). - A
+ Filtermenu to add new chip rows. - A Display menu controlling sort, direction, and per-row decorations.
Trash
Deleted test cases go to Trash and can be restored. Toggle Trash mode from the header above the tree.
Bulk actions
Select multiple cases and the bottom bar exposes Run, Edit, Delete, and an overflow menu (Clone, Export to XLSX). In Trash mode the bar shows Restore + Delete permanently.
